The Time Traveler's Wife

Okay, now I read this book about 2 years ago during my time off when I was working at a library. I first picked it up because I liked the title, I didn't put it down because it was one of the most enthralling novels I've ever read and truly the most advanced form of romantic fiction I've yet to see. Now that the movie is getting ready to be released (August 14th!!) I figured I would take the chance to share with the world just how wonderful I found this book to be.

Okay so the title says alot about this one, the book is in fact about the wife of a man who is able to travel through time. What the title fails to tell you though is that through his time travel ability Henry is able to meet his wife at various stages of her life from a six year-old Clare to a twenty-six year-old Clare. Can you imagine the magic and wonder that could exist if you had the chance to watch your one true love grow up to be the love of your life and your wife? Well Audrey Niffenegger shows how truly powerful love can be between this dynamic pair. She also shows how hard it can be to deal with the unexpected as Henry time travels away from his wife and Clare is left alone and waiting. This book shows the strength of the bond of love and the magic that comes from being in love. If I haven't convinced you already just give in and read the book, it will be well worth your time and it may grow to be one of your favorites just as I found it to be one of mine.
